Announcement: Winding Down Raceclubs.com

Following two decades of exceptional racing, we have made the difficult decision to wind down the races on Raceclubs.com. This is a very difficult decision for us because the virtual horse racing community that we have created has also become our family. We have celebrated your victories as much as we have shared your disappointments, but we have never anticipated the day when we would have to say goodbye. We have to accept the reality that due to circumstances beyond our control, it is no longer viable to operate Raceclubs.com as a business due to licencing requirements and payment gateway restrictions that have reduced our virtual horse racing community to a fraction of its former self. In ensuring fairness for our virtual horse racing community, we have decided to continue running Raceclubs.com for another two seasons so as to allow all horses to retire at an age of 4+ before saying our final goodbye!

The following details are relevant in this regard:

Out of respect to existing players who enjoy playing the game and would prefer to continue racing their horses: Race Programming will continue until each horse has seen out their 4th virtual racing season i.e. Your current 2Y horses will always have a race to enter until they turn 5Y. As horses age, their previous age groups will not be programmed. Next season will not include a Race Program for 2Y horses. There will be no future Yearling Sales. Cash sales in the Sales Ring will be restricted to 2Y & 3Y horses during this season, only 3Y horses in the next season and no horse sales will take place in the final season. Cash sponsorships will be replaced with Bonus Credits from next season.

We would also like to reiterate how exceptionally proud we are of all our collective accomplishments over the last 2 decades in making Raceclubs.com a household name around the world and creating a thriving online community. That would never have been possible without YOU!
